SEVENTEEN Miracle Matte Foundation *Review*

Ok, it's taken me a while to get round to writing this review but here we go!

Ok so, I'd never heard of let alone tried the brand 'seventeen' but I decided to give it a go as the packaging caught my eye and so did the purse friendly price. But what a mistake that was.

I prepped my face for the foundation - cleansed, primered etc. and then when I added the foundation to my face it didn't spread well at all. It just kinda smeared on, looking patchy all over and the patches were orangey which was also bad considering I had purchased the foundation in the lightest shade available named 'fair'. Fairly orange more like. I wasn't able to blend it at all as it was too thick, like a paste. I was so disappointed but I decided to give it another go but this time without using any primer, as I thought it might have been causing the bad blending. But even with no primer it went on exactly the same. My boyfriend even had a little laugh when I came downstairs with it on, how embarrassing! :).

To say this foundation was awful would be an understatement. I know that sounds harsh but I really don't want anyone making the same mistake I did because it was truly a waste of money. I like to take risks and try out new products but sometimes it really is worth sticking to what works for you and paying out that little bit extra for quality.

Pro:voke Touch of Silver Twice a Week Brightening Shampoo&Intensive Treatment Conditioner *Review*

Ok, so for the past 3 or 4 weeks I've been slowly bleaching black hair dye out of my hair trying not to damage it by bleaching loads. I tried doing that a few years ago (will I ever learn to stop dying my hair black :p) and I ended up with a frazzled mess that I had to get cut very VERY short. So I have been living with what I can only describe as a orange, yellow and platinum mess :). The good thing is that it's not in terrible condition but will need a trim for sure. Anyways so I went to boots searching for something that would calm and tone down the yellow&orange. And I came across this stuff:

So I decided to give it a go. Now baring it mind my hair is at least 3 different shades right now it was pretty damn good. I mean it didn't help with the orange at all but I didn't really expect it to but it certainly toned down the yellow and turned the lightest of the yellow platinum! So it definitely does what it says but it also isn't a miracle provider so don't expect really orangy/yellowy tones to disappear, sorry guys :). But for yellowy blonde hair this works a treat!

I have 1 more bleaching session to go before I'm getting a hair revamp :) I'm pretty excited and I hope the image I have in my head translates well to my actual hair :D eeek!

Venus&Olay Razor and Olay Essentials Complete Care plus Multiradiance *REVIEW*

Hey Everyone,

So almost 2 months ago now, I was sent the new Venus and Olay Razor as well as the Olay Essentials Complete Care plus Multiradiance to test, review and spread the word about!. And so far I have been very pleasantly surprised.

Let me start of with the Venus&Olay Razor.

This has to be the best razor I've ever used. It has 5 (yes 5!) blades which leave my skin super super smooth. I don't need any shaving gel as I simply have to make sure my skin is wet and the water activates the Olay bars which smell AMAZING! And the Olay bars moisturise my skin leaving it feeling super super soft. I really cannot fault it, apart from the pricey refills. But even then I would say they're worth it because you don't need any shaving gel (save money on that!) and the razor really does leave your skin so nice and smooth. The Olay bars are such a perfect addition to an already amazing razor. You save so much time too without the need of shower gel, so it's perfect on-the-go pampering :). It's an 8/10 from me!

And now the Olay Essentials Complete Care plus Multiradiance Moisturiser.

So this is a daily moisturiser designed for everyday use and that I have been doing. I've never really had much of a skin care routine but there's nothing like a nice new moisturiser to kick you into one :). I usually start off with cleaning my face with the Olay refreshing toner and then I apply the Olay moisturiser. This provides an awesome base for make up but if you don't wear make up or you're at home for the day and like me like to let my skin breathe for a bit, the Olay moisturiser contains little light reflecting particles that give you a nice radiant glow. The other awesome thing about this moisturiser is that it has an SPF of 15 meaning that if you're like me and awful when it comes to putting on sun cream this will provide you with some protection!. This cream feels lovely on my skin and doesn't leave a horrible greasy sheen like a lot of others. It smells nice, feels nice and leaves my skin feeling refreshed so I'm ready to start my day. Need any more convincing? Well it's a handy size to have in your handbag on the go AND it's not a bad price either so even us thrifty people can afford a bit of luxury too!

Right now (28.3.2013) boots.com are offering the Venus & Olay Razor for just £5.49 plus you can pick up 20 advantage card points. And the Olay Essentials Complete Care plus Multiradiance is £7.99 and you can pick up 28 advantage card points!

Thanks for reading! XOXO
